Through CCI’s benevolent component, Jeff provides real estate and financial advisory services for not-for-profit, charitable, church, educational, and municipal organizations throughout the southeast. He solves complex land and facilities issues for the public and private sector that benefit communities, owners, and stakeholders. These solutions often unlock value from non-earning real estate, create ongoing revenue streams, and re-align senior leadership focus back to core ministry and business strategies.
Jeff earned a BBA in real estate from Georgia State University and subsequently served in several leadership roles as board trustee and secretary for the Georgia State University Foundation, as president for the Real Estate Department Honorary Board, as an Executive-in-Residence, and as a resource in the Mentorship Program. Through his tenure on the GSU Foundation’s Investment and Real Estate Committees ($500 million endowment and 13 million facilities SF), Jeff led the efforts to negotiate, structure, and capitalize the acquisition of Turner Field/Olympic Stadium and 68-acres in downtown Atlanta and served as the chairman of the Design Control Committee. He was an adjunct MSCRE graduate professor for real estate finance and established the Warwick Endowed Doctoral PhD in Real Estate scholarship. Jeff contributed to the “The Cap Rate Spread: A New Metric for Commercial Underwriting”, published in the Real Estate Economics journal. He earned certificates from The Harvard Program on Negotiation, the MIT Center for Real Estate, The Dale Carnegie Institute, and Six Sigma and is a former member of NAREIT, ICSC and REIAC. Jeff also served as board trustee and executive committee member of Truett McConnell University and as advisor to Greater Atlanta Christian School. He held three securities licenses (FINRA Series 24, 7, and 63) and served on numerous board executive committees including Central Atlanta Progress and Urban Land Institute Atlanta. Jeff has been a frequent real estate industry conference speaker and panelist.
Jeff is a native Atlantan, and he and Cindy live in Suwanee, GA near their daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter. Jeff and Cindy are members of First Baptist Atlanta and previously held church leadership roles in youth ministry, human resources, long-range planning, and finance.
